Ingredients

Turkey body and face
  • 1 count pear Use 1 large pear OR 1 yellow bell pepper.
  • 1 count yellow bell pepper Use 1 large yellow bell pepper OR 1 large pear.
  • 2 count candy eyes Use candy eyes OR peppercorns.
  • 2 count peppercorns Use peppercorns OR candy eyes.
  • 1 count red bell pepper Small piece for the wattle.
  • 1 count baby carrot For the beak.
Vegetable platter
  • 2 cup baby carrots
  • 2 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 English cucumber Sliced.
  • 2 count bell peppers Cut into strips; use red, orange, or yellow.
  • 2 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 1.5 cup ranch dip For the center dip and to help attach the face pieces if needed.

Method

Build the turkey dip base
  1. Place a bowl of ranch dip at the bottom center of a large round platter as the turkey’s centerpiece.
  2. Set the pear or yellow bell pepper just above the dip as the turkey body.
Add the face details
  1. Attach eyes, a carrot beak, and a red pepper wattle with toothpicks or a dab of dip, positioning them so they face outward from the tray.
Fan the tail feathers
  1. Fan vegetables behind the body in curved rows of alternating colors to form tail feathers, using baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, and bell pepper strips.
  2. Fill any gaps with broccoli florets and snap peas so the back rows look full and continuous.
Chill before serving
  1. Cover and chill until serving to let the arrangement set, about 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Notes

Pro tip: Slice the cucumber and cut bell peppers into evenly sized strips so your curved rows look tidy and “feather-like.” Refrigerate covered for up to 2 days; serve cold for best texture. Freezing is not recommended because the vegetables will soften. Dietary swap: use a dairy-free ranch dip if you need a lactose-free option.
