Ingredients

Fully cooked bone-in spiral-sliced ham
  • 1 fully cooked bone-in spiral-sliced ham
Pineapple-brown sugar glaze
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple rings juice reserved
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 0.25 tsp ground cloves
  • 0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
Garnish
  • 1 maraschino cherries for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 slow cooker

Method

Add ham and make glaze
  1. Place ham flat-side down in a large slow cooker, trimming as needed so the lid closes.
  2. Whisk 1/2 cup reserved pineapple juice, brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, ground cloves, and ground cinnamon until the sugar dissolves.
Glaze, top, and cook
  1. Pour half the glaze over the ham, working it between the slices so it coats the cut sides.
  2. Arrange pineapple rings over the ham and secure with toothpicks, adding a cherry in each center.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 4-5 hours until heated through to 140F, with the glaze looking glossy and the ham steaming through.
Finish and serve
  1. Spoon the slow cooker juices over the ham using the remaining glaze, coating the pineapple and ham for shine.
  2. Serve immediately, making sure each slice gets some of the sticky glaze.

Notes

Pro tip: If the glaze looks too thick as it cooks, give it a quick stir with the reserved juices from the pot before spooning over the ham. Refrigerate leftovers in a sealed container for up to 4 days; reheat slices gently until warm. Freezing is yes—freeze for up to 2 months and thaw in the fridge before reheating. For a lighter option, use reduced-sugar brown sugar or a sugar substitute designed for baking and glaze cooking.
